This policy explains what information Director OS, a desktop app made by ETCHD (“we”), collects, how it is used, and the choices you have.

What we collect

Your Google account details. When you sign in with Google, we receive your name, email address and profile picture. We do not request access to any other Google data.

Your team’s workspace. The plans you make in Director OS — projects, episodes, scripts, scenes, schedules, assignments, due dates and notes — are saved online so they are backed up and shared with the people on your team.

Your team. Who belongs to which team, and the email addresses of people a team owner invites.

What stays on your computer

Your footage, edits, rendered videos, thumbnails and subtitle files stay on the computer where you made them. So do any API keys you enter in Settings. We never receive them.

How we use it

Only to run Director OS: to sign you in, keep your workspace in sync, and show teammates who is working on what. We do not sell your information, use it for advertising, or share it with anyone except the service providers below. Director OS contains no advertising or tracking.

Our use of information received from Google follows the Google API Services User Data Policy, including its Limited Use requirements.

Service providers

Supabase hosts the sign-in and stores your account and your team’s workspace.

OpenAI is used only when you choose an AI feature, such as transcribing subtitles or suggesting a thumbnail. Those features run on an OpenAI API key that you or your team provide, and the text, audio or images involved go directly from your computer to OpenAI under that key and OpenAI’s own terms. They do not pass through us.

Who can see your workspace

The owner of a team and the members they have invited. A team owner can remove a member at any time, and that person loses access straight away.

Keeping and deleting your information

We keep your account and workspace while you use Director OS. To delete your account and everything stored with it, contact us and we will do so within 30 days. You can also remove the app’s access to your Google account at any time from your Google account settings.

Security

Information travels encrypted. The database lets each person read only the workspaces of teams they belong to.

Children

Director OS is a work tool and is not meant for children under 13.
